K2 Infragen Limited, a leading player in India’s infrastructure and EPC sectors, has acquired a 69.47% stake in its associate company, K2 Nextgen Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (formerly known as K2 Cloud Pvt. Ltd.), making it a subsidiary entity. This strategic move is aimed at enhancing K2 Infragen’s technological capabilities and integrating advanced tech into its operations.
K2 Nextgen Solutions specializes in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Big Data, Cloud Migration, Digital Transformation, and software development. With over four years of experience in cloud migration services, this acquisition is expected to further accelerate K2 Infragen’s growth by embedding technology across its infrastructure projects.
Pankaj Sharma, Managing Director of K2 Infragen, emphasized the critical role technology will play in shaping the future of infrastructure, noting that this acquisition aligns with the company’s broader ambition to focus on technology enablement and efficiency. “By integrating tech into our operations, we are not only creating new revenue streams but also driving technology-led growth,” said Sharma.
K2 Infragen is actively involved in major infrastructure projects across India, including the NHAI road development projects, the Jal Jeevan Mission for water supply infrastructure, and various Transmission & Distribution (T&D) and railway projects. With the acquisition of K2 Nextgen Solutions, K2 Infragen aims to bolster its position in technology-driven infrastructure solutions.
