JSW Infrastructure Limited has been awarded a Letter of Intent (LOI) by the Maharashtra Maritime Board (MMB) for the development, operation, management, and maintenance of an all-weather, multipurpose port at Murbe in Palghar District, Maharashtra. The project will be executed on a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) basis under the Design, Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (DBOOT) model.

This LOI, valid for 24 months, represents an “in principle” approval, and a Concession Agreement will follow upon meeting specific conditions. The project aligns with JSW’s growth strategy, aiming to increase capacity to 400 MTPA by FY2030.

The Murbe port is strategically located near major highways and rail corridors, and it is expected to boost economic activity and generate significant employment in the region.
