Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury has made a statement to the IT Minister, requesting him to “build an impregnable firewall to resist new menacing syndrome” and has demanded him to explain the issue at parliament.
Among series of tweet threads regarding the “Chinese surveillance on political leaders and key officials,” Chowdhury gave an adjournment motion notice. In a follow-up tweet by ANI, he requested the IT minster to build a firewall to resist Chinese attacks on national security.
Leaders are concerned about Chinese surveillance and digital aggression engagement, tattering national security.
Praveen Chakravarty, head of the Congress’s technology and data cell, said, “The news about Chinese digital surveillance of India’s leaders and others is quite disturbing. Most importantly, we need to know the extent of this surveillance, and if there is more to this than collating public data on people. The government has to assure the nation through a detailed investigation.”
Leaders and congress pressure the government to act immediately and resolve the issue.
