DroneAcharya Aerial Innovations Ltd., India’s first listed drone company, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with U.S.-based American Blast Systems (ABS) Inc. The partnership is focused on expanding into the U.S. and European markets by providing advanced drone solutions for sectors such as law enforcement, military, agriculture, logistics, and retail. Under this collaboration, DroneAcharya’s “Make in India” drones will be co-produced and branded locally in the U.S., enabling access to the North and South American and European markets.

The U.S. commercial drone market, valued at $6.39 billion in 2024, is projected to grow to $14.11 billion by 2033 at a CAGR of 9.2%. Similarly, the public safety drone market is expected to grow from $1.1 billion in 2023 to $2.0 billion by 2028 at a CAGR of 13.0%.

The partnership will leverage ABS’s expertise in defense and security to market DroneAcharya’s innovative solutions across these regions. The companies will focus on defense-grade drone solutions and anti-drone technology. The collaboration is expected to create new revenue streams and contribute to DroneAcharya’s financial growth. Both companies plan to launch their products in time for the festive season and will co-design, co-develop, and manufacture the drones in Los Angeles to meet U.S. certification standards.

Additionally, DroneAcharya will cross-sell ABS products in the Asian market, further expanding its global presence. This move aligns with DroneAcharya’s strategy for global expansion and commitment to establishing India as a significant player in the global drone industry. The partnership aims to capture a significant share of the growing demand for domestically produced, certified drones, especially in light of the ongoing ban on Chinese products in multiple nations.
