Transformers and Rectifiers (India) Limited (TRIL) has been awarded a substantial order valued at ₹565 crore from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL), a leading public sector company in the power transmission sector. The order encompasses the manufacturing and supply of transformers and reactors, with capacities ranging from 80 MVAr to 500 MVA, and voltage classes between 420 kV and 765 kV.
This contract highlights TRIL’s robust standing in the transformer manufacturing industry and aligns with its strategy to support large-scale power infrastructure projects in India. The company has committed to delivering the equipment by the financial year 2025-26, showcasing its capability to meet stringent timelines.
TRIL clarified that the order is a domestic contract, and it falls under the normal course of business, not involving any related party transactions. The company’s promoter group holds no interest in PGCIL, ensuring transparency and compliance with regulatory norms.
TRIL, headquartered in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, operates three manufacturing plants and is India’s second-largest transformer manufacturer by capacity. The company boasts an experienced team of around 1,200 employees who maintain adherence to the highest quality standards in their operations. This new order reinforces TRIL’s position as a key player in India’s power sector.
