L&T’s Digital Energy Solutions (DES) arm recently won a contract to implement Energy Management Systems in South India and increased its portfolio in the United States. The DES business offers advanced grid services, energy consultancy and system integration solutions to help digitalize electric grids.
In the exchange filing, the company also shared, “As part of the order in Southern India, Energy Management System and associated software systems will be implemented for 12 set of control rooms. These systems are being implemented for main and backup configurations for the Southern Regional Load Dispatch Centre (RLDC) and the State Load Dispatch Centers (SLDC) of Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu and Telangana. The integration and implementation of these systems will be carried out without causing any downtime for the existing system.”
L&T DES is also working on renewable integration and control projects, such as an 185 MW solar and 254 MWH energy storage project in Bihar and a 700 MW solar power plant in Saudi Arabia.
