Manchester United suffered a humiliating 3-0 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford, marking one of the worst performances under Erik ten Hag’s tenure as manager. Spurs dominated the match, and the loss highlighted United’s ongoing struggles this season.
The turning point came before halftime when United’s captain, Bruno Fernandes, was sent off after a reckless challenge on Spurs’ playmaker, James Maddison. This left United down to 10 men, compounding their difficulties. Despite trailing just 1-0 at halftime, with a goal from Spurs’ Brenan Johnson, there was little hope of a comeback.
In the second half, Tottenham took full advantage of their numerical superiority. Kulusveski and Dominic Solanke each found the back of the net, sealing a comprehensive 3-0 victory for the visitors.
