Kia India is preparing to introduce the EV9 in the nation on October 3, and the automaker has unveiled all of the specifics about the electric SUV.

India-Spec Kia EV9 key features

The India-spec EV9 will include a bigger 99.8kWh battery pack and two electric motors for all-wheel drive. With a combined power output of 384 horsepower and 700 Nm of maximum torque, the SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds. On a single full charge, the EV9 will have an ARAI-certified range of 561 kilometers. With a DC fast charger, the battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in just 24 minutes.

The SUV is 5,015 mm long, 1,980 mm wide, 1,780 mm tall and has a 3,100 mm wheelbase. In India, it will be available in a single, fully loaded GT-Line trim with a standard six-seat configuration.

Regarding features, the EV9 will have a dual-display configuration with an instrument cluster that is the same size as the 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. In addition, it has a digital IRVM, an electrically adjustable steering wheel, six USB Type-C charging ports, three-zone climate control, an illuminated steering wheel emblem, dual electric sunroofs, a head-up display, second-row captain seats with leg support, electric adjustment, a massage function and much more.

The EV9 will come equipped with a suite of safety features that includes 10 airbags, ABS, ESC, downhill brake control, VSM, front, side, and rear parking sensors, all-wheel disc brakes, a 360-degree camera and ADAS Level 2 features like Adaptive Cruise Control, High Beam Assist, Lane Keep Assist, Forward Collision Warning and Avoidance Assist and more.
