Metro Bank, the UK’s community bank, has announced a long-term collaboration with Infosys (NSE, BSE, NYSE: INFY), a global leader in digital services and consulting, to transform its IT and support functions while enhancing business operations through digital solutions.

This collaboration focuses on improving automation, refining data usage, and integrating AI capabilities through Infosys Topaz, an AI-first solution utilizing generative AI technologies. Metro Bank aims to create a simpler and more consistent customer experience, while also building a more agile and scalable business model.

Metro Bank CEO Daniel Frumkin emphasized that the partnership will allow the bank to remain customer-centric while boosting operational efficiency. The collaboration is part of the bank’s strategy to achieve £80 million in annual cost savings this year and increase its Return on Tangible Equity to mid-to-high teens by 2027.

Dennis Gada, Infosys EVP and Global Head of Banking and Financial Services, added that the partnership will leverage Infosys’ digital and AI capabilities to support Metro Bank’s strategic vision, enhancing customer engagement and accelerating growth.
