Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has received an order for Rs. 850 crore from Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) for the supply of an indigenous multi-function radar in the X band. This indigenous radar designed by DRDO and manufactured by BEL can detect, acquire and track airborne targets to defend navy ships.
In the exchange filing, the company also shared, “Additionally, BEL has secured orders valued at Rs. 305 Cr. following the last disclosure on 22 August 2024, which include navigational complex system for ships, thermal imagers, communication equipment, fire control system, gun control system, spares, services, etc. With these orders, BEL has now accumulated orders totaling Rs.7, 075 Cr. in the current financial year.”
In the meantime, as of 2:27 pm, Bharat Electronics shares were trading 1.14% higher at Rs 289.00 on the NSE.
