The horror-comedy movie, Munjya, has been dropped on OTT platform months after its June release. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, Munjya is deeply ensconced in Marathi folklore and stars Sharvari Wagh, Mona Singh, Abhay Verma, and Sathyaraj. On Sunday, Disney+ Hotstar shared an update about the OTT release of Munjya. The film is now streaming on the platform. It was an Instagram motion poster featuring Sharvari and Abhay Verma. In the film, Sharvari is essaying the role of Bella/Munni. The caption with it read, “Aapne Munjya ko yaad kiya, aur voh apni Munni ko dhoondne dauda chala aa gaya. Saari munnis (all Munnis), please be aware!! Watch Munjya now streaming!”
The story revolves around the life of a eponymous mythical creature and how he wrecks the life of a character named Bittu, enacted by Abhay Verma of The Family Man fame. In the film, Mona Singh plays the role of Pummy, the over-protective single working mother of Bittu.
Munjya was released on theatres on June 7, and according to a Sacnilk.com report, it did a grossing of ₹120 crore in India.
