Bajaj launched the limited edition Chetak 3201 Special Edition just two weeks ago. It features a special livery, a new TFT console and an exclusive livery. A recent media report suggests that Bajaj plans to update the Chetak electric scooter’s battery pack with a new one that will have more power and range.

According to the report, Bajaj had sourced battery cells from a different supplier, which has since been replaced with another supplier. The newly procured battery cells are believed to be more energy-dense, resulting in a longer range, up from 126 kilometres to 136 km. It appears that the company used the new battery pack for the special edition Chetak 3201 model, which has a bigger 3.2 kWh battery.

Although the exact date of the higher-range Chetak’s official launch is unknown, we do anticipate it to happen soon before the start of the forthcoming holiday season.
