Facundo Pellistri is close to leave Manchester United to join the Greek side named Panathinaikos. The Greek side is close to secure the signing of the United’s winger and they are going to do it soon as per Fabrizio Romano. Earlier it was said that Facundo is in the plans of Erik ten Hag and Man United board for the 2024/25 season but now the move looks close.

The winger is reportedly on the verge of leaving Manchester United to join Panathinaikos. The Uruguayan forward, who was initially considered part of plans for the current season, now looks set to make the move to Greece.

Pellistri joined Manchester United in 2020 but has struggled to secure a regular spot in the first team, spending time on loan at various clubs to gain experience. Despite showing flashes of his potential, consistent playing time has been hard to come by at Old Trafford.

Panathinaikos, who are looking to bolster their squad ahead of their domestic and European campaigns, see Pellistri as a key addition. The Greek club is reportedly close to finalizing the deal, with the transfer expected to be completed soon.
