At just 16 years old, Wilson is drawing significant attention as he gears up for the 2024 Olympics in Paris. During the U.S. Olympic track and field trials, he posted an impressive 44.66 seconds in the preliminaries of the under-18 boys’ 400-meter race, a time only surpassed by fellow U.S. Olympian Quincy Hall. He improved his performance with a 44.59-second semifinal heat and finished the final with a time of 44.94, securing sixth place overall.

Although Wilson didn’t win the 400 meters, his outstanding times earned him a spot in the U.S. men’s 4×400 relay pool. He is set to run in the first round of the relay in Paris.

When Wilson competes at the Stade de France, he will make history as the youngest male track and field athlete in U.S. Olympic history, surpassing Arthur Newton, who was 17 when he competed for Team USA in Paris in 1900.

Prior to these remarkable performances, the Maryland native had already begun making waves at various meets across the country, capturing attention and showcasing his potential.

As he prepares to take on the Olympic stage, Wilson is poised to become a key figure in U.S. track and field for years to come.
