Manchester City’s striker Julian Alvarez has been on radar of several clubs this summer transfer window. Atletico however has initiated talks with city and has started making bids for the player. The world cup winner is not very much happy at City as he isn’t getting much game time due to presence of Erling Haaland in the team.
After Alvarez has decided to leave the club, Atletico are getting stronger in their pursuit. They have made an improved bid of €75 million. First bid from Simeone’s side was rejected which was of €70 million.
Manchester City’s talented striker Julian Alvarez has become a severe commodity in this summer’s transfer window. However, it is Atletico Madrid who have taken the most decisive steps, entering into negotiations with City and making bids for the World Cup winner.
Alvarez, despite his impressive performances, has found himself struggling for consistent game time at City due to the presence of Erling Haaland, who dominates the center-forward position. This has left the Argentine international dissatisfied with his current role, fueling his desire to seek more opportunities elsewhere.
Atletico Madrid, under the guidance of Diego Simeone, has been quick to react to Alvarez’s discontent. After their initial bid of €70 million was turned down by City, Atletico have returned with an improved offer.
