Chido Obi-Martin, one of Arsenal’s promising young talents, has decided to leave the club. The forward’s departure has disappointed many Arsenal fans. Obi-Martin has been in talks with Manchester United about a potential move to Old Trafford, though he has not yet confirmed his next destination.
Arsenal wanted Obi-Martin to stay, offering him a spot in their Under-18 squad with opportunities to play for the Under-21s and train with the first team. However, the teenager wanted a direct move to the Under-21s and there were disagreements over salary. Obi-Martin’s financial demands were reportedly much higher than what Arsenal was willing to offer.
Despite higher bids from German clubs, Obi-Martin has chosen to join Manchester United. The project and pathway at United convinced the talented striker to make the move.
