Manchester City are exploring a potential move for Crystal Palace playmaker Eberechi Eze, who is valued at £68 million.

Pep Guardiola’s side is evaluating their options amid interest from Saudi club Al-Ittihad in Kevin de Bruyne. The 33-year-old midfielder is reportedly being offered a lucrative contract, which could prompt City to seek a replacement.

Eze, who is 26, has drawn attention from Tottenham as well. However, if Manchester City make a formal approach, Tottenham would likely be unable to compete with City’s offer. City have long admired Eze, recognizing him as one of the Premier League’s top talents outside the traditional top four.

Eze has three years remaining on his contract with Palace, which includes a release clause of £60 million plus add-ons. The club is unlikely to let him go for less, especially after losing another rising star, Michael Olise, to Bayern Munich.

Last season, despite injuries, Eze excelled for Palace, scoring 11 goals and providing four assists. His impressive performances helped lift Palace to a tenth-place finish in the Premier League.
