Tata Motors has officially revealed the production version of its Curvv coupe SUV’s. The Curvv was first showcased by the company in April 2022 as an electric concept and afterwards in January 2023 as an ICE form.
Not surprisingly, not many things have changed. For instance, the daytime running lamps no longer extend into the bonnet, the split rear spoiler has been replaced with a single, smaller unit and the exterior cameras of the EV have been replaced with standard outside rear-view mirrors.
At first look, the Curvv resembles the Nexon on which it is based, with only a few differences between the ICE and EV versions. The electric Curvv sports a nose-mounted charging flap similar to the Tata Punch EV and the lower bumper area features several vertical stylistic elements. On the ICE variant, there are smaller horizontal elements that also stretch to the front grille. Both variants include triangular recesses for the headlights and the DRL unit stretches across the width of the vehicle.
The Curvv is very different from the Nexon when compared to the front. It is clearly longer and the roof life of the coupe dips sharply. Additionally, the wheel arches have a squarish or “squircle” shape. The ICE variant has a fuel filler flap on the left rear fender and petal-like 5 spoke alloy wheels, when the EV has a more closed-off alloy rim for improved aero efficiency.
