“Free agent-to-be Yusei Kikuchi is probably a more likely trade candidate, along with Yimi Garcia,” Heyman noted. “And rival teams would love to see Chris Bassitt out there, too. If they pay deals down, Isiah Kiner-Falefa, Kevin Kiermaier, and Justin Turner are tradeable, too.”
Kiermaier, one of baseball’s premier defensive players, has four Gold Glove Awards to his name. Although he has struggled offensively this season, his previous slash line of .265/.322/.419 provides hope that he could turn things around.
With Atlanta in need of outfield help, Kiermaier’s defensive prowess could be a game-changer.
