Hyundai unveiled the most affordable electric vehicle it offers on the international market. It’s called the Inster and Hyundai plans to sell it for roughly $25,000. The Inster is based on the Casper, which is already available on the worldwide market. At first, the Casper and its electric counterpart were planned to compete with the Punch in the Indian market. However, Hyundai Motor India Limited chose to launch the Exter in India instead.

The Hyundai Inster’s dimensions are 1,610 mm in width, 1,575 mm in height and 3,825 mm in length. The wheelbase is 2,580 millimetres. There is 280 litres of boot space.
There are two different options for battery packs. A 42 kWh unit and a 49 kWh unit are available. Their claimed ranges are 355 km and over 300 km, respectively, and they operate on 266 V and 310 V architecture. For both the normal and long-range batteries, a full charge takes 4 hours and 4 hours 35 minutes.
For each of the two battery packs, the on-duty electric motors have a different power. The bigger battery pack has a maximum power output of 113 bhp and a maximum speed of 150 kmph, while the smaller battery pack’s electric motor generates 95 bhp and reaches a high speed of 140 kmph.
The Hyundai Inster has several features, including heated seats, a 360-degree camera, auto hold, automated climate control and an advanced driver assistance system.
