Comedian Kettan Singh has once again apologised to filmmaker Karan Johar for ridiculing him on a comedy show. The Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani filmmaker took to Instagram a few weeks ago to criticise Kettan Singh for making fun of him with bad mocking, expressing his anger and disappointment.
Soon after, Karan Johar’s rage went viral on social media, and Ketan apologised to the filmmaker, but he did not respond, and it appears that he has yet to forgive the comic.
Kettan Singh recently attended a media event where he engaged with Instant Bollywood, and when asked if he had anything to say to Karan Johar, he apologised again and stated that he is an admirer of his work and that nothing was personal. Kettan went on to say that it was simply his talent, and that he only imitated individuals he admired.
Karan Johar is hoping to accept the apologies this time. When Karan expressed his disgust and slammed the comic, Ekta Kapoor spoke out in support, urging the bullying culture to be ended at this level.
“I was sitting and watching television with my mom…and saw a promo of a reality comedy show on a supposedly respectable channel… a comic was mimicking me in exceptionally poor taste…I expect this from trolls and faceless and nameless people but when your own industry can disrespect someone who has been in the business for over 25 years it speaks volumes about the times we live in…this doesn’t even anger me it just makes me sad!”
