Mumbai Indians pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been sweating it out in the training sessions with the team ahead of the start of the new season of Indian Premier League (IPL) in UAE. Mumbai Indians are staying in Abu Dhabi and have been training at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in the city. On Monday, Bumrah was seen trying to imitate the action of other bowlers in training.

Bumrah, who will be spearheading Mumbai Indians’ pace attack in the upcoming season, was seen trying to copy the likes of Anil Kumble and Lasith Malinga. Mumbai Indians shared a video on their official Twitter handle where the Indian pacer can be seen imitating the actions of as many as six different bowlers in the nets.

Bumrah starts with Lasith Malinga’s bowling action followed by most likely of Glenn McGrath, Mitchell Starc, Kedar Jadhav, Rashid Khan, and Anil Kumble.

Bumrah will have added responsibilities on his shoulder in the absence of Malinga next season after the Sri Lankan great pulled out of the tournament due to personal reasons. Bumrah was instrumental in Mumbai Indians’ title triumph last season and returned with 19 wickets in 16 games for the Rohit Sharma-led side.

While Mumbai Indians have already named Australian pacer James Pattinson as a replacement for Malinga, the team will be reliant on Bumrah to deliver in the death overs more consistently next season. Along with Bumrah and Pattinson, Mumbai Indians also have the likes of Trent Boult and Mitchell McClenaghan in their pace attack.
