Hyundai’s luxury arm Genesis has released a mid-life upgrade for the GV70 SUV, four years after its debut in 2020. The new GV70 has slight but significant upgrades on both the outside as well as the inside.
The external modifications bring the GV70 in line with Genesis’ new style concept, ‘Athletic Elegance’. The SUV now features a new dual-weave mesh design on the radiator grille and two-line turn signals. The GV70 facelift also uses MLA technology in its headlights, which are carried over from the pre-facelift version.
The front bumper receives a modified skid plate and expanded air ducts. The SUV has new 19-inch alloy wheels on the stands, while the rest of its side appearance remains untouched. To increase visibility for other cars, the turn signals at the rear have been modified to be in line with the front and relocated from the bumper to the tail-lamp units.
The new GV70 features a large 27-inch OLED display which includes both the infotainment system and the instrument cluster. The SUV now has touch-based HVAC controls and the steering wheel features the new Genesis emblem and a new two-tone appearance.
While Genesis hasn’t officially disclosed the new GV70’s specs, we anticipate that its powertrains will remain the same. The pre-facelift GV70 came with three different engine options: a 2.5-litre turbo-petrol, a 3.5-litre V6 turbo-petrol and a 2.2-litre diesel.
