The current Beijing Motor Show 2024 has featured the all-new Mercedes E-Class LWB. Later this year, the new Mercedes E-Class will make its Indian debut. Mercedes offers the E-Class LWB in a few markets, including China, with India being the only country to get the sedan’s right-hand drive variant.
The “Superscreen” configuration, which places three displays behind a single glass panel on the dashboard, has been added to the E-Class LWB for China. These include a driver’s instrument cluster of 12.2 inches, the main infotainment unit’s screen measuring 14.4 inches and a third screen facing toward the front passenger. It remains to be seen whether the Mercedes Superscreen will be available with the India-spec E-Class LWB, given that a large number of E-Class buyers are chauffeur-driven.
While the Chinese market receives a six-cylinder petrol engine lineup for the E-Class LWB, Mercedes India is expected to keep the 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol, 2.0-litre, four-cylinder diesel and 3.0-litre in-line six-cylinder diesel engine choices from the outgoing model, with some updates.
