The production company Studio Dragon’s new drama is in talks with Gong Yoo and Song Hye Kyo to lead the project.

As per the reports in the media, the production cost of writer Noh Hee Kyung’s new project is at least $3 billion won (approximately $2.2 million) per episode, and the total production cost for 20 to 24 episodes is nearly 80 billion won (approx $58.2 million).

Responding to the media report, Studio Dragon stated that the drama is still in the early stage of its planning, so the cost of the production is not decided yet. The statement also added that the casting and number of episodes to be created is all undecided.

The reports have suggested that the new project by Noh Hee Kyung is a modern historical drama that depicts the realistic scenes of people in the broadcasting industry. The drama will capture the passion of the people who passed through a turbulent historical tunnel and experienced the birth of South Korea’s entertainment industry.

Noh Hee Kyung previously penned ‘It’s Okay That’s Love’, Our Blues, Dear My Friends and more. The writer has also collaborated with Song Hye Kyo in 2008 for Worlds Within and 2013 for That Winter The Wind Blows.
