Yamaha recently launched the Aerox Version S, their newest scooter, in Delhi. It comes with a keyless ignition at Rs 1,50,600 (excluding taxes and fees).

Along with Honda’s H Smart models, it is one of the few scooters in its class which offer this kind of feature.

The Aerox 155 S, available only through the company’s Blue Square dealerships across the country, includes a Smart Key function that uses flashing lights and a buzzer to help owners locate the scooter. The proximity sensor technology allows users to just turn the knob and hit the start button without the need for a key, making starting the scooter easier.

With just Silver or Racing Blue paint options, the Aerox Version S is the most expensive model in Yamaha showrooms today, surpassing even the MotoGP colour scheme by Rs 1,500, although costing Rs 3,000 more than the base model.

The Aerox S is powered by a 155 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 15 bhp and 13.9 Nm of torque. Traction control and an OBD-II system are notable features.
