The fee of Soo Hyun has been the talk of the town since the past rumors of exorbitantly high fees for Queen of Tears were denied.

Initially, it was reported that the actor is being paid 800 million KRW per episode, but the rumors were squashed by Studio Dragon, production company of Queen of Tears, who claimed that the amount being said is far from truth.
Now, as per the latest reports, the actor’s fee was reduced to 300 million KRW, apparently for the series’ low production costs, which was around 40 billion KRW, as per some reports.
If Soo Hyun was to be paid the full 800 million KRW, his fees alone would have taken up a third of the show’s entire budget.
