Shares of the company Aster DM Healthcare saw a significant fall of more than 6 per cent after a block deal of 5.1 crore shares or 10.1 per cent of the joint stock company was conducted on March 27.
While the identities of the buyers and sellers remain undisclosed, reports from Moneycontrol indicated that private equity firm Olympus was seeking to divest nearly 10 percent of its stake in Aster DM Healthcare through a block deal. It also suggests that Olympus Capital Asia Investments Ltd, currently holding a 18.96 percent stake in Aster DM Healthcare, aims to offload 9.8 percent of its stake in the company.
The transaction’s worth was Rs 2,070 crore, reflecting the size of this deal and its possible impact on Aster DM Healthcare’s marketplace scenarios.
According to data on share ownership, the controlling shareholder group currently holds 41.88 percent of this corporation while approximately 58% is owned by individual investors.
