Joshua Jackson is back playing a doctor, on ABC this time. Ryan Murphy is developing Dr. Odyssey, a new show in which Jackson has been cast as the lead, in addition to being an executive producer, as reported by Deadline. The series has been ordered straight to series and and is set to launch this fall.
While the details regarding his character are kept under the wraps, it has been learnt that he will be playing the role of doctor, who uses his charm to get what he wants. This will mark the second time of him playing a doctor, first being in Dr. Death as Christopher Dunstch, an American neurosurgeon, who was convicted of killing his two patients.
Ryan Murphy’s team will be collaborating with frequent colleagues of his, Jon Robin Baitz and Joe Baken with whom he will write and execute the series. Earlier, they have come together for projects such as American Horror Story and season 2 of Feud.
