Pant made his IPL debut in 2015 for Delhi Daredevils under the leadership of Zaheer Khan. With 98 IPL matches under his belt, Pant has amassed 2838 runs, showcasing an aggressive strike rate of 147.98. The accident occurred when Pant’s Mercedes SUV crashed while traveling from Delhi to Dehradun before dawn. Sustaining injuries, he was promptly transported to a hospital and later airlifted to Mumbai for further medical attention and surgery.
Despite missing out on the 50-over World Cup due to his injuries, Pant is primed to make a strong comeback. He is expected to rejoin the Delhi Capitals for IPL 2024 and may also represent India in the forthcoming T20 World Cup scheduled for June in the United States and the West Indies.
