Bollywood is among the top entertainment industries that make such good emotional and engaging movies. It is quite okay that every movie can’t be your cup of tea. However, there are a bunch of such Bollywood films that aren’t anybody’s cup of tea. From its narration to the plot, here is a list of such movies that you must definitely save your time from.

Bombay Velvet

Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Vicky Kaushal, Kay Kay Menon, and Karan Johar are among the ensemble cast members of Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet. The film was a massive box office disappointment, even though it had a strong gangster drama. Its narrative follows a similar path: All Johnny wants is to win Rosie’s love. He is a mild-mannered, down-on-his-luck commoner. And the easiest way, he thinks, is to commit crimes and show off his slick and merciless demeanour along the way. But the shady underground has its own set of problems. Because of its poor writing and even worse acting, the film only generated about Rs 43 crore against a production budget of Rs 120 crore.

Guzaarish

blank

This 2010 film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, which starred two of the best performers Bollywood has ever produced, was only good because of the music. Guzaarish tells the heartbreaking tale of Ethan, a once-famous magician. Ethan, who is now quadriplegic, has submitted a euthanasia petition because he no longer has the will to live. He only has two individuals in his life at the moment. Omar, a young magician, and Sofia, his nurse, want to learn from Ethan. Even though the movie allows amazing performers Hritik Roshan and Aishwarya Roy Bachchan a chance to shine and features some gorgeously shot scenes, it still lacks the commercial component necessary to become a smash. In addition, the plot collapses in the face of the awkward, jagged narration.

Fitoor

blank  The only positive quality of Fitoor was its captivating, instantly engaging music, which featured hits like “Tere Liye” and “Pashmeena.” This 2016 Abhishek Kapoor film, which starred Aditya Roy Kapoor and Katrina Kaif, told a heartwarming tale of love that transcends social class and boundaries. A wealthy begum employs Noor, a destitute Kashmiri lad, to manage his stables. As the days go by, his fleeting meetings with Firdaus, the begum’s daughter, intensify. Upon discovering their relationship, the begum banishes Noor. It’s astonishing to consider that The Great Expectations, a widely read novel by Charles Dickens, served as the inspiration for the movie.

Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai Dobara

blank

Bollywood has made multiple attempts to recreate the genius of its predecessors in movie sequels, but very few of them have been successful. That is not the case with Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai Dobara. Milan Luthria’s 2010 film was a huge smash, gaining an enormous following that continues to strive for fame. However, the gangster drama that the sequel promises is not present. After killing Sultan Mirza, Shoaib assumes leadership of the mafia, propelling the drama onward. They both fall in love with the same woman, which causes tension in their behaviour when he takes Aslam under his wing. The film’s main issues were with the characters’ characterization and casting.
