Although Kanye West has always had huge dreams, his most recent scheme may be his most audacious to date. The rapper, well-known for his avant-garde endeavours and enigmatic records, is currently working on a project dubbed DROAM, which would be an entire self-sufficient city in the Middle East. You read correctly: Ye intends to build a sizable city on the opposite side of the earth.
However, the relocation comes with a past of abandoned houses and abandoned projects, which has left supporters sceptical and interested.
For many years, Kanye West has teased his fans with promises of albums that never arrive, leaving them frustrated and dejected. The anticipated release of his next project, a collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign, was scheduled for last weekend, but it never happened.
Fans are hesitant to get their hopes up, but rumours currently say that the album might be released on New Year’s Eve. But, West used X to make his most audacious declaration to date: the launch of DROAM. He says he wants to build it in the Middle East, but he doesn’t say where.
While still in its initial stages of development, the city is expected to span an astounding 100,000 acres, which is double the area of New York City. Project managers, engineers, architects, contractors, and builders are all invited to join West in this enormous endeavour as it looks for partners.
However, during the time of this inspiring speech, rumours were circulating about West’s abandoned Los Angeles church, which he had paid $1.5 million for in March.
Images of boarded-up windows and piled rubbish surfaced, which stood in sharp contrast to the visionary’s aspirations for the world.

West recently listed his Malibu property for sale and abandoned plans to renovate it because of financial difficulties, adding to the drama. Currently, the house lacks electricity and windows. The California property that was completely demolished earlier this year is currently listed for $53 million, which is significantly less than the $57.25 million he bought for it just two years prior.
Fans are still processing the announcement of DROAM, and West’s history of abandoned properties and unfinished enterprises casts a shadow over this new endeavour.
