Tuesday marked the end of the IPL 2024 Auction at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai. The 2022 IPL winners and 2023 runners-up, Gujarat Titans, made a strong showing at the auction, bringing in a number of important players. The Titans, who traded for Mumbai Indians’ Hardik Pandya to become captain Shubman Gill, spent the maximum money on Australian left-arm pacer Spencer Johnson (Rs. 10 crore).
Azmatullah Omarzai, an Afghanistan pace-bowling all-round player, was also brought in by the Titans, presumably to take Pandya’s spot.
In order to strengthen their already robust batting order, the Ahmedabad-based team also paid Rs. 7.40 crore to obtain the services of middle-order batsman Shahrukh Khan.
The side’s pace unit is strengthened with the acquisition of experienced Umesh Yadav (Rs. 5.80 crore) and talented Indian pacer Kartik Tyagi for just Rs. 60 lakh.

The following GT players were bought at the IPL 2024 auction: Kartik Tyagi (Rs. 60 lakh), Manav Suthar (Rs. 20 lakh), Spencer Johnson (Rs. 10 crore), Azmatullah Omarzai (Rs. 50 lakh), Umesh Yadav (Rs. 5.80 crore), Shahrukh Khan (Rs. 7.40 crore), Sushant Mishra (Rs. 2.20 crore), and Robin Minz (3.60 crore).
