The Kiwis are firm on their decision of not risking Kyle Jamieson after he faces some issues with his hamstring. New Zealand’s tall ace pacer has been put on ice for the next two ODI games against Bangladesh.
After experiencing some hamstring stiffness following the recent tour of Bangladesh, Jamieson took a precautionary seat during the opening match of the 50-over series against the Asian side in Dunedin this Sunday.
The young pacer had a proud moment at his early 28 as he celebrated the Player of the Match in the inaugural ICC World Test Championship final in 2021 . However, the seamer encountered challenges with a back injury over the past year. His return to competitive play in September marked the end of an extended period on the sidelines, emphasizing the team’s commitment to managing his physical well-being.
New Zealand and Bangladesh will lock horns for their second ODI match on Wednesday at Nelson, while the third match will be held in Napier on Saturday.
