Shah Rukh Khan led Dunki’s official trailer was released on Tuesday. The film marks Khan and Rajkumar Hirani’s first collaboration. After the back-to-back success with Pathaan and Jawan, fans were expecting the same energy from Dunki. However, now it seems like fans haven’t enjoyed the trailer video as such.

Many users took to their social media accounts and shared displeasure regarding the three-minute-long promotional video. Many even felt that SRK’s Punjabi accent was forced and unnecessary. Some have termed it as boring. With the disappointment rising among netiznes, a new hashtag ‘Disaster’ is trending on X for Dunki’s trailer.

A user wrote, “Boring -Plot has nothing new to offer, many Punjabi films have already covered such topic. -Accent is so annoying. I don’t understand the need to mix punjabi & hindi. It doesn’t even sound comical. Just stick to hindi”

While another commented, “Bhai average laga , Didn’t had any moments to laugh or to get a wow factor , Hope Raju sir has something hidden which could surprise us!”

A netizen commented, “The less I say about the trailer, the better. The Punjabi accent feels forced, the dialogues lack impact, and I struggle to connect emotionally with the story. This might be the weakest film from Hirani that I can recall.”

Many fans rooted for Shah Rukh Khan and showed faith in him. They liked the trailer and his overall performance in it. A tweet read, “#DunkiTrailer felt like a breath of fresh air in the era of masala action movies. It gave off the classic Raj Kumar Hirani vibe with all the emotions combined.”

Another comment stated, “Don’t care about the trailer! In the sea of high-octane mass masala violent films, Dunki stands out as heartwarming and lighthearted story that Im eagerly awaiting its release!” A fan wrote, “Quite underwhelming, it feels like l have watch this trailer many times it remained me of my name is Khan which is not a bad thing hope movie will be great.”

Dunki is directed by Rajkumar Hirani. The film features Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Boman Irani, and Vikram Kocchar in key roles. It is slated to release on the 21st of December globally.
