In a prelude to the upcoming IPL 2024 auction retention and release, cricket legend MS Dhoni, accompanied by his wife Sakshi Dhoni, played host to his former Team India comrades, Suresh Raina and Pragyan Ojha. Raina, who bid farewell to the IPL in 2022, has maintained a strong bond with Dhoni, his former Team India captain and current leader of the Chennai Super Kings. Meanwhile, Ojha, who retired from cricket in 2020, currently holds a position in the IPL governing body.
This reunion unfolded shortly after Dhoni and Sakshi’s visit to Raina’s hometown, Lwali, in Uttarakhand. With only three days remaining before the IPL retention and release window concludes on November 26, the gathering took on a special significance.
Expressing gratitude, Raina posted two images on social media, tagging both MS Dhoni and Sakshi Dhoni, along with the caption, “Thank you so much for the great dinner @sakshisingh_r and @mahi7781 bhai ❤️.”

On the other hand, Pragyan Ojha, a member of the IPL governing council and a close friend of Dhoni, shared a photo on his Instagram account featuring the Chennai Super Kings skipper and former IPL player Suman Tirumalasetti. Ojha conveyed his appreciation, writing, “Thank you Mahi bhai… for having me over for dinner! God bless you and family,” acknowledging Dhoni’s hospitality.
