On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the 106th episode of PM Modi’s Mann Ki Baat. The program started at around 11 am. In his address, PM Modi talked about the record sale of Khadi in Delhi on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. He spoke on many issues including record sales of Khadi on Gandhi Jayanti, Vocal for Local and flag of Indian players in Para Asian Games.
PM Modi also remembered Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Guru Gobind Singh. The rich history of tribal warriors was also appreciated by the Prime Minister.
Priority should be ‘Vocal for Local’: PM Modi
In his monthly radio program held before the festivals, PM Modi congratulated the countrymen for the festivals. The PM said that there is excitement about festivals in the entire country and people should prioritise those products which are manufactured in our country.
“Like every time, this time too, our priority in our festivals should be ‘Vocal for Local’ and together we should fulfil that dream. Our dream is- ‘Aatmanirbhar India’. Today, India is becoming the biggest manufacturing hub of the world. Many big brands are manufacturing their products here,” said PM Modi.
‘Amrit Vatika’ will be created in Delhi: PM Modi
PM Modi also discussed a program being organized on the Kartavya Path in Delhi, where soils collected from each and every corner of the country will be used to create ‘Amrit Vatika’.
“A very special program is being organized on the Kartavya Path in Delhi. Recently, I had been requested to collect soil from every village and every house in the country,” said PM Modi.
“Now this soil collected from every corner of the country, these thousands of Amrit Kalash Yatras are now reaching Delhi. Here in Delhi, that soil will be poured into a huge Bharat Kalash and ‘Amrit Vatika’ will be created from this sacred soil in Delhi,” added PM modi.
What is MY Bharat?
The Prime Minister also announced about the formation of a nationwide organisation MY Bharat, on the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, i.e., on October 31.
“The foundation of a very big nationwide organisation is being laid on 31st October, and that too on the birth anniversary of Sardar Saheb. The name of this organisation is – MERA YUVA India, i.e. MY Bharat. MY Bharat organisation will provide an opportunity to the youth of India to play an active role in various nation building events,” said PM Modi.
PM also urged the youth of the country to register on the link mybharat.gov.in and sign up for various programs.
PM Modi recalls Mirabai
PM Modi also mentioned great saint Mirabai and said that she is a source of inspiration for the mothers, sisters and daughters of the country.
“Even during that period, she listened to her inner voice and stood against conservative notions. Even as a saint, she inspires us all,” said PM Modi.
