Ahead of the assembly elections in five states, Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi on his YouTube channel posted a video of his conversation with Satyapal Malik (former Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, known for his sharp comments and criticism of the misdeeds of the Modi government) in which both were involved in talking about the BJP government especially its negligence in Pulwama, its dictatorial attitude towards the farmers’ movement, Caste census, Freedom of Media, Adani’s corruption, Manipur violence and on many important political issues. They also criticised Modi government for allegedly “suppressing the voice of its critics and suppressing the media’s voice.”

The conversations started with Satyapal’s story of entering into politics and soon raced by sharp comments on the central government. Talking about the Kashmiri people, Satyapal said: “Their statehood should be returned immediately.” Taking this into account he said that the Union territory is in a state of active terrorism happening now and then. “Their Ignorance led to the Pulwama terror attack,” alleged Malik over the silence of the government and keeping the request of 5 aircraft on hold for 4 months.

Rahul Gandhi also attacked Media houses and their ignorance of not covering required issues but talking always about Israel, Bollywood, Cricket, etc. They also talked about the absence of representatives from lower caste in the institutions: “You won’t believe whether it is a big media house or anchors or reporters they do not have anyone from the OBC, Dalits or tribal community.”

The duo expressed their concern over the Agniveer scheme, education system and conditions of farmers in the nation for not implementing MSP (Minimum Support Price).

“I feel there is a fight between two ideologies in Indian politics today i.e. between RSS and Gandhi,” said Rahul Gandhi to which he differentiated further stating that RSS is full of hate and violence contrary to Gandhian thoughts and values.

By the end of the conversation, they mock the new parliament building, and women’s reservation bill as Modi’s “distraction policy” to get away with the pressure.

The conversation, which was held on 14th October, was shared on Rahul Gandhi’s YouTube channel on October 15th under the title “Will this conversation with Satyapal Malik ji increase the pace of ED-CBI?”
