India’s 1st Regional Rail Service RapidX, is all set to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Sahibabad RapidX Station, Uttar Pradesh on October 20 at around 11:15 am. The 17 Km priority section of Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS Corridor will connect Sahibabad to ‘Duhai Depot’ with stations at Ghaziabad, Guldhar and Duhai on the way. However, before the inauguration, the new Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) has been renamed as Namo Bharat, reported PTI quoting official sources.
After this update, Congress leaders started targeting the move as Namo stands the abbreviation for the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s name. Chairman of Congress Media department Pawan Khera asked on social media platform X, “Why even put Bharat? Just change the name of the country to Namo and be done with it.”
