The India – Pakistan rivalry has been full of surprises, records, ugly face-offs, and verbal spats. The two sides have had a World Cup history where the Indian team has clearly dominated the charts with 8-0 victory against Pakistan. Lately, the Indian team has been supported by a lakh fans in the Narendra Modi stadium. The Pakistan team has also lodged a complaint to the ICC which said that the Pakistani team was bothered by the inappropriate behavior of the Indian fans. Cricket experts from both sides have had their say on the incident but Irfan Pathan has revealed an ugly incident caused during an ODI match against Pakistan in 2006.

In the commentary during India’s match against Bangladesh in CWC23, Irfan Pathan revealed that during a 2006 ODI match, the player was hit by a nail in his eye. The cricketer escaped a massive injury and as a result of which the match was stopped for 15 minutes. Sachin Tendulkar was hit by a stone in the third test by the Pakistan fans when India and Pakistan were looking to win the final test as the series was tied 0-0.
