St Kitts and Nevis Patriots won the toss and opted to field. The first innings scored BT 153/9. Post break, the next innings began with Barbados Tridents on the attack. The scoreboard indicated SNP 147/5 at the end of the second innings. Jason Holder’s team gave a tough fight to the competitors and won by six runs.
The initial innings had begun with BT’s Johnson Charles and Shai Hope at the crease. Sohail Tanvir was on the attack. By the end of three overs, the team had lost three wickets. The captain stepped into the game and played along with Kyle Mayers. Another two wickets down for BT – Kyle Mayers caught out and Jonathan Carter run out. Raymon Reifer got to bat but soon was back to pavilion. Mitchell Santner and the captain kept going to make the score reach a century. Soon, Jason Holder was caught by SNP’s Ben Dunk. Later with Ashley Nurse’s wicket, the score was 123-8. Rashid Khan entered in. Mitchell Santner exited with 20 runs. Hayden Walsh and Rashid Khan continued to set the target scoring 153-9 for BT.The partnership of Rashid and Hayden was indeed appreciable to get the competitive total
The second innings started with SNP’s Chris Lynn and Evin Lewis on the crease. Kyle Mayers was on the attack. Chris Lynn impressed the team and fans with amazing fours. The partnership lasted just for five overs, Joshua Da Silva took over post-Chris Lynn’s wicket. No sooner it was another wicket -Evin Lewis ‘Run Out’. Later Joshua Da Silva and Ben Dunk witnessed the score reaching a half-century. Ben Dunk’s fours and sixes were remarkable. But he was caught and left the game with 34 runs. Denesh Ramdin got to the crease to pair with Joshua Da Silva. The duo made the score 109-3 at the end of 15th over. When it was the last over SNP yet required 20 runs. St Kitts and Nevis Patriots tried their best to achieve the target but wickets got them down. It was a victory for Barbados Tridents.
