MG motors has now partnered with Zoomcar, which is a self drive rental car company and India’s largest personal mobility platform for vehicle subscription. Now both the companies have come together to launch a new car subscription service.
Zoomcar will run the subscription programme on behalf of MG motors. The subscription programme is of three types, lasting for 12 months, 24 months and 36 months. MG motors will also leverage Zoomcar’s end-to-end technology solution for vehicle subscription platform.
The new service will also be providing 24X7 support to the subscribers regarding bookings. On this tie up CEO of MG motor India, Gaurav Gupta said, “It is a delight to join hands with Zoomcar for providing customers with monthly vehicle ownership and subscribers can now experience our vehicles before buying them.”
As more and more people are attracted to subscribing cars instead of owning them, this merger will be beneficial for many. Greg Moran, CEO of Zoomcar said, “We anticipate a significant increase in car subscriptions over the next quarters, as consumers look to avoid public transport without the commitment of traditional car ownership”.
MG Motor will also leverage technology such as GPS tracking, logistics support and vehicle scheduling. The partnership will help to make it big in vehicle renting and sharing sector.
