The chief human resources officer (CHRO) of PhysicsWallah recently disclosed that over 80% of applicants fabricate information on their resumes regarding their pay and employment history. People who are looking for work frequently make up experiences to fit the job.

The ed-tech platform’s HR director told the outlet in a conversation that the firm has been utilising technology to check candidates’ backgrounds in real-time. To determine whether candidates are lying about their income, the site even examines their bank account information.

“Sometimes, the responses given by employees may not always be genuine. People can give fake feedback in assessment surveys and performance-related queries. In such cases, technology can play a significant role in figuring out the accuracy of the responses in the future,” Khengre said.

The ed-tech company’s employees also have access to InFeedo, which gives HR a snapshot of employee engagement. The AI bot converses with workers to find out who is dissatisfied, disengaged, or about to quit. Finally, the system automatically identifies the cases that should be investigated by HR. According to Khengre, “this really aids in keeping a check on the potential attrition risks within the organisation.”

The CHRO elaborated on the use of technology to analyse employee performance, adding that PhysicsWallah makes use of a programme called Darwinbox to set expectations in terms of goals, evaluate performance, enter scores, and review the gaps. The programme assists the business in assessing real-time productivity for roles in sales.
