On Monday, Tamil Nadu C.M, M. K. Stalin announced that his government will be boycotting the Independence day tea party, which will be hosted by Governor, R.N Ravi tomorrow.
Tamil Nadu’s Governor, R.N Ravi previously stated that he will never give approval to the Tamil Nadu Assembly Bill and spare the state from giving the national test even if he had the power.
This statement created controversy among the students as well as the other people. The bill is yet to receive approval from the President.
Chief Minister, M.K Stalin said,”The Governor’s comment is irresponsible and belittles Tamil Nadu’s seven year long anti-NEET struggle.”
As reported by the source, NDTV, he further added saying Mr Ravi is causing confusion in the higher education department as well, and his pro-NEET comment is tantamount to “destroying” the dreams of students and their parents.
In order to oppose R.N Ravi’s stand, Stalin decided to boycott the Independence Day tea party. He said, “We have decided to boycott the tea party to be hosted him on August 15 in Raj Bhavan.”
