Actor-singer, Bigg Boss fame Jasleen Matharu recently called off her wedding ceremony with Bhopal based surgeon and revealed that their horoscopes did not tend to match to carry out the marriage. Jasleen had been dating Dr.Abhinit Gupta since a few months and the couple had decided to get married, which is now cancelled as the former opened up about the Kundlis not essentially matching. According to a report by Times of India, the actress said that her parents have a certain belief in horoscopes and she does not want to go against the faith they behold, hence dropping the idea of wedding.
Matharu was allegedly introduced to Dr.Abhinit by none other than ‘Bhajan Samrat’ – Anup Jalota. While giving a statement about scrapping the marriage she said- “Well, to begin with, our kundlis did not match. My parents believe a lot in kundlis. I would never go against their wishes and set up a marital home of my own without their blessings. I don’t want to put them under any stress. Secondly, I realised along the way that our temperaments too did not match”, as put by TOI. Also, Dr.Gupta is in the middle of his divorce matter with his first wife about which Jasleen says- “Add to this that his divorce is still a long way off. So that didn’t help either. All said and done, it was just not adding up. Let’s say, we were not meant for each other.”
Jasleen Matharu and Anup Jalota made it to the headlines by participating in Bigg Boss season 12 as a couple in love with the huge age differences.Their jodi was talk of the show which later after eviction they nullified saying it was purely a mentor-student relationship and she is like a daughter to him. Matharu was last seen in a reality show ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karoge’ as a contestant keen to get married with Paras Chhabra.
