Aspee recently hosted the grand L.M. Patel Farmer of the Year Awards, a prestigious event that served as a platform to acknowledge and celebrate remarkable agricultural achievements nationwide. Distinguished guests, including Smt. Sumitra Mahajan as the Chief Guest and Dr. Zinabhai Patel as the Guest of Honour, were present, alongside Aspee’s own Dr. Sharad Patel and Shri Kiran Patel. The event exemplified Aspee’s dedication to supporting and uplifting the farming community, demonstrating the company’s commitment to promoting agricultural excellence and fostering a deep appreciation for the tireless work of farmers across the country.
Amongst the awardees was Shri Abhishek Chawda who received an award for his exceptional work in operating a Vegetable Crops Nursery, showcasing a commendable commitment to sustainable farming practices. Smt. Pavani Padamati was recognized in the Woman Farmer Category for her impressive skills in Protected Floriculture. Shri S.R. Arun Kumar was honored for his pioneering approach to Coconut Cultivation with Multi Storied Cropping System, setting a benchmark for maximizing crop yields. Smt. Jamnaben Maganbhai Nakum also clinched the Woman Farmer Category award for her remarkable accomplishments in Dairy Farming. More awardees were recognized based on their outstanding efforts in different categories of agriculture.
Aspee plays a significant role in improving agricultural production technology through continuous research and development. It maintains a close relationship with the farming community in Thane District, Maharashtra, conducting regular meetings and farmers’ rallies during Kharif and Rabi seasons. Aspee also contributes to education and training by offering facilities for eligible candidates from Agricultural Universities and Institutes to pursue priority subjects. Additionally, students, including those from State Agricultural Universities and IIT Kharagpur, conduct their research projects at Aspee’s facilities in Bhiwali. In recognition of academic excellence, Aspee awards a gold medal to the student achieving the highest marks in Agricultural Entomology and Plant Pathology at the B.Sc. (Agri) level from State Agricultural Universities.
ASPEE’s remarkable contributions to the promotion of agricultural engineering in the industry have received recognition from the Indian Society of Agricultural Engineers. The company was honored with a “COMMENDATION AWARD” for its exceptional work. Additionally, ASPEE was bestowed with the ISAE Gold Medal by the Indian Society of Agricultural Engineers at Coimbatore and the ISAE Mason Vaugh Agricultural Engineering Pioneer Award 2017 at AAU, Anand, Gujarat. The company was founded by Shri. Lallubhai Makanji Patel. He possessed a deep understanding of the challenges faced by farmers, owing to his agricultural background. Currently, Mr. Sharad L Patel, who initially joined as a Production Engineer, leads the company as the Managing Director, focusing on advancing agricultural equipment.
