Varun Dhawan, a popular Bollywood actor, is now preoccupied with marketing for the next movie “Bawaal,” in which he will collaborate for the first time on screen with Janhvi Kapoor. Despite being in the middle of promotions, Varun is now dealing with the wrath of online users after a video of him getting too intimate with Janhvi went viral.
Every effort has been made by Varun and Janhvi to promote their upcoming movie. For the purpose of generating excitement before the movie’s premiere, they are always busy with city tours, pop-up events, and countless picture shoots.
In the midst of the marketing, a video showing Varun and Janhvi trying to bite each other’s ears without their consent or warning has gone viral online.
Varun and Janhvi are seen posing for pictures in the video, with the former supporting the latter by the waist from behind. Varun attempted to bite Janhvi’s ear while she was busy executing a pose, but the actress realised and flinched, preventing it.
In the video, Janhvi can be seen laughing it off, but Varun’s behaviour was criticised by online users, who dubbed him “creepy.” They were also informed of the incident at the NMACC where Varun was charged with lifting and kissing Gigi Hadid against her will.
“The way he gets touchy with his female co-stars and gets away with all these antics is absolutely ridiculous,” a user commented, while another wrote, “This is creepy for a married man to do. When they are not acting in a movie.”
‘Bawaal’ has meanwhile forgone the theatrical approach in favour of an OTT release. It will begin to stream on Prime Video on Friday, July 21.
Nitesh Tiwari’s film “Bawaal,” which he also directed, was filmed in a variety of exotic European locales. The teaser suggested that the characters will draw parallels between their lives and World War II. It is billed as a love rollercoaster.
The producers also planned a special screening for their city-based business associates on Tuesday.
