Two flagship smartphones, the OnePlus 12 and Oppo Find X7 Pro, are expected to be on sale later this year, most likely following Qualcomm’s October announcement of its next flagship CPU. Online leaks of specifications for both phones’ upcoming releases have given tech aficionados a preview of what to expect from the OnePlus 11 5G and Oppo Find X6 Pro’s successors. Both phones are expected to run on the rumoured Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and allow rapid charging at up to 150W.
On Weibo, the information about “at least three” new smartphones featuring Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPUs was leaked by the tipster Digital Chat Station (translated from Chinese). The tipper claims that these phones will have 2K displays with narrow, slightly curved screens that support high-frequency dimming.
The informant also revealed the three smartphones’ charging capacities, claiming that they will support 100W, 150W, and 240W wired charging. According to the Weibo user, all three phones will enable 50W wireless charging.
The tipster hasn’t yet revealed the names or model numbers of these devices, or any other information about them. However, according to a TheTechOutlook article quoting a Twitter user, one of the three phones will be the OnePlus 12, which supports both 50W and 150W of wireless charging. At 100W and 50W, respectively, the Oppo Find X7 Pro is said to offer wired and wireless charging.
According to the report, both smartphones will have curved displays that allow high-frequency pulse width modulation (PWM) fading. Both phones will have thin bezels, in the meanwhile. It is important to note that OnePlus and Oppo have not yet released any information on the release of these alleged handsets.
The OnePlus 12 was rumoured to be going on sale in December by a tipster last month. According to the reported launch schedule for the upcoming OnePlus flagship device, the device may be among the first high-end smartphones to use Qualcomm’s upcoming processor.
Another rumour is that OnePlus may use a Samsung 2K OLED display on the alleged OnePlus 12. It is anticipated that the phone’s screen will feature a 120Hz refresh rate and a quad-HD+ resolution. It is prudent to take these statements with a grain of salt since the OnePlus 12 and Oppo Find X7 Pro aren’t scheduled to make their China debuts for several months.
