Honda has recently introduced the Shine 125, a commuter motorcycle designed for the Indian market, complying with BS6 OBD2 standards. Embodying a timeless and simplistic design, the 2023 Shine 125 boasts numerous remarkable features and specifications.

The bike showcases a solitary headlamp, a unified seat, a gracefully positioned exhaust, chrome accents, refreshed graphics, a gleaming muffler cover, chrome embellishments on the headlight casing, and an intelligent rear light. It gracefully rests on black alloy wheels with a five-spoke configuration, wrapped in tubeless tires.

Prospective buyers can select from an enticing palette of five colors, including Geny Grey Metallic, Black, Matte Axis Grey, Decent Blue Metallic, and Rebel Red Metallic.

The 2023 Honda Shine 125 is available in two variations: Drum and Disc, with prices ranging from Rs 79,800 to Rs 83,800 (ex-showroom). As a contender in the market, the Shine 125 aims to rival prominent 125cc motorcycles such as the Hero Glamour 125, Bajaj Pulsar 125, and Hero Super Splendor 125.

When it comes to features, the 2023 Honda Shine 125 offers an array of noteworthy conveniences. It encompasses a direct current headlamp, an engine start/stop switch, an external fuel pump, a high-beam flasher, a synergized braking system with an equalizer, and an engine cutoff function when the side-stand is engaged.

Furthermore, the motorcycle boasts a fully analog instrument cluster that exhibits essential details like the trip meter, speedometer, fuel gauge, and side-stand warning.

To ensure a comfortable journey across diverse terrains, the 2023 Shine 125 is equipped with front telescopic forks and rear springs that can be adjusted in five increments.

The drum brake variant relies on 130mm drum brakes for both wheels, while the top-tier disc brake variant incorporates a 240mm disc at the front and a 130mm drum brake at the rear. Honda’s Combi-Brake System (CBS) with an equalizer harmoniously balances the braking force distribution between the motorcycle’s front and rear wheels.

Nestled within the heart of the 2023 Honda Shine 125 is a 125cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine fortified with Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI) technology, enhanced Smart Power (eSP), and a Honda ACG starter.

This powerplant adheres to OBD2 regulations and can operate with E20 fuel. Teamed with a five-speed gearbox, the engine generates a power output of 10.6bhp at 7,500rpm and a torque of 11Nm at 6,000rpm, figures that may sound familiar to enthusiasts of the previous model.
