Sanjay Dutt gave a piece of unpleasant news on Tuesday that he is taking a break from all his professional commitments. According to the reports, the actor is suffering from lung cancer. The actor’s fans and followers are pouring their love and well wishes on Sanjay’s social media handles. Cancer survivor Manisha Koirala shared a heartfelt note for Sanjay Dutt.
Manisha extended her support and prayers for the actor from her Twitter handle, she wrote, ‘Sadden to hear about your health challenge dear baba @duttsanjay .. but I know you are tougher !! There have been tremendous struggles in your life and you overcame them, this too shall be yet another win .. praying for your well-being.’
Manisha played Sanjay’s real-life mother Nargis Dutt’s role in the actor’s biopic ‘Sanju’ which released in the year 2018. Sanjay Dutt and Manisha Koirala worked in several movies together.
Sanjay Dutt made this announcement on his social media handle which read, “Hi friends, I am taking a short break from work for some medical treatment. My family and friends are with me and I urge my well-wishers not to worry or unnecessarily speculate. With your love and good wishes, I will be back soon!”
The 61-year-old actor’s wife Maanayata Dutt shared a statement stating, “I thank everyone who has expressed their well wishes for Sanju’s speedy recovery. We need all the strength and prayers to overcome this phase. There is a lot that the family has gone through in the past years but I am confident, this too shall pass”.
She further added, “However, it is my heartfelt request to Sanju’s fans to not fall prey to speculations and unwarranted rumours, but to just help us with their ongoing love, warmth and support. Sanju has always been a fighter, and so has our family. God has yet again chosen to test us to overcome the challenges ahead. All we seek is your prayers and blessings, and we know we will emerge as winners on the other side, as we always have. Let us use this opportunity to spread light and positivity”.
On the work front, Sanjay Dutt will be seen in ‘KGF: Chapter 2’, who will play the role of Adheera and the movie also stars Yash and Raveena Tandon. A few days back on his 61st birthday, the actor revealed his intriguing look for the KGF sequel.
